2nd PRACTICE: YOUR BLOG

Firstly, you have to read the information shown in the Weebly blog "Creating a blog: useful tools"(http://bilingualticfraypedrourbina.weebly.com/blog).

There you will find two interesting videos that will explain how to create a blog. Using the earphones I asked you to bring to the class, you will watch the videos

In the next step, you will create a blog using the Blogger application. Weebly will be used later on during the school year to elaborate your own website. In that moment we will include the blog in the webpage.

The title of your blog has to contain the name of your users account (TIC1a,b ,c ,d…).

Although your blog has to be updated throughout the year, in this practice you will have to include at least three comments with the following requirements:

  • One has to include an image and other a link.
  • One has to allow comments under revision. The other two will not allow this option so no one can provide their opinions about the comments of your blog.

Your comments have to be about the next three issues:

  • What you expect to learn during the ICT classes all over the year.
  • The problems you have found to create your Operating System document and a brief abstract about the most important ideas contained in your writing.
  • How the development of new technologies is affecting the job market, especially within the youngest population.

Finally you will have to send the link of your blog to the e-mail address ticinf2fraypedro@gmail.com.

Come on brave students, I am certain that you won't have any problems in delivering a well done job!

1st Practice: create your Operating System document

Dear students,

I'm going to give you some instructions you have to follow to ellaborate your "Operating System" document. These are:

Your document has to contain five sections named:

  1. Definition.
  2. Functions (in a bulleted list).
  3. Types (in a table).
  4. Statistics about operating systems.
  5. Sources.
You have to include also a cover page, an index (using Contents table) and the page number with the format "page 1 of X".

The names of the members of the group will appear on the cover that should be framed and it has to contain an image of an old computer (found on the internet). The image’s edges have to be rounded. You will also have to use the image effect called “reflexes”.

The font of the document has to be Calibri 12 (except for the title on the cover) and you have to use double line spaces.

The cover and the index shouldn’t be paged.

Point four has to include a pie chart showing the most commonly used operating systems.

During the classes I will explain to you what tools you need to use to create this document properly.

So let's go ahead!!!
